Intermediate Karate Class

January 1, 2020One student at a time, Wasenshikan (the Place of the Peaceful Warrior) Dojo builds character, perseverance, strength, and confidence with the practice of Ryukyu Kempo Karate. All students are welcome regardless of fitness, background, or skill level as long as they bring their best.
Intermediate class is offered two days a week. We build on basic karate techniques by adding bogu kumite (protected sparring), weapons kata (traditional series of movements), and deeper practice of kata. All intermediate students must attend at least one kihone class per week. Students may measure progress by testing for belt rank during the kihone class.

Fundamentals Karate Classes-Adult

January 1, 2020One student at a time, Wa Sen Shi Kan (the Place of the Peaceful Warrior) Dojo builds character, perseverance, strength, and confidence with the practice of Ryukyu Kempo Karate. All students are welcome regardless of fitness, background, or skill level as long as they bring their best.
Kihone (fundamentals) class for teens and adults 12+ is offered twice a week beginning in September 2019. We build fitness and strength through basic karate techniques, kata (traditional series of movements), exercises, and build character through situational awareness, the dojo kun (school rules) and guiding principles. Students may measure progress by testing for belt rank.
